Charles I (1625-1649), Tower mint, Halfcrown, Gp I, mm. anchor (flukes to right on rev.), rev. plume above square-topped shield, plain garniture [as used for the Unites of James I], 14.83g/4h (SCBI Brooker 293-4; N 2203; S 2767). Striking splits at 2 and 8 o’clock with resultant hairline surface cracks on reverse, otherwise about fine, very rare (£300-400)
