Prouvé, female figure poring over a book, globe in foreground, industrial scene behind, reverse front of the Chambre, named (À Pierre Marraud, Commissaire Général du Gouvernement Français, Gand, 1913), 68mm. Extremely fine and very rare; in red fitted case of issue, gilt-blocked (£100-120)

Awarded at the International Expo, Ghent. Émile-Victor Prouvé (1858-1943), painter and sculptor, was director of the École des Beaux-Arts, Nancy. For other medals awarded to Marraud, see lot nos. 778 and 798
