The Queen’s (Royal West Surrey) Regiment, an officer’s Home Service blue cloth helmet, complete with all standard gilt fittings, the KC post 1911 plate bears the extra top scroll ‘The Queen’s’, the plate overall of inferior poorly gilded quality, sound internally with sweatband and silk liner (part detached), the plate not original to the helmet, a tailor’s label ‘Haggard Queen’s’ though of the period is over an earlier label, another part defaced label on the sweatband ‘...oulnois’, the gilt dull other than on the quadrant/spike, the skull sound £250-300

Accompanied by a letter from the Surreys Museum (1968) giving details of Haggard’s career.
