6th Dragoon Guards (The Carabiniers), a very fine and scarce officer’s 1871 pattern full dress helmet, complete with all gilt and silver plated fittings, the fine ornate reeded star pattern plate with central mount being the Royal Crest (Imperial QVC) within a strap ‘The Carabiniers’, correct pattern chin chain and rose side ornaments, falling white horse hair plume with large gilt rose finial, the peaks lined in green skiver, the sweatband of padded brown silk (some wear), other than two minute dents the helmet is in excellent condition £1200-1500
