Royal Army Medical Corps officer’s sword, 1892 pattern, the straight 83cm blade by E.Thurkle, Soho, London, etched with crowned VR cypher foliate scrolls etc regulation brass ‘gothic hilt’ incorporating VR cypher fish-skin covered grip bound with copper wire, complete with its steel scabbard, minor service wear otherwise good condition £150-200

The steel scabbard for both field officers and junior officers was adopted in 1902.
