Sold with a number of original photographs, together with a damaged envelope, dated July 1953 and bearing the name and address, ‘Major (Ordnance Executive Officer) J. L. Waring, Royal Army Ordnance Corps, 28 Command Workshop, R.E., Stores Section, Hilsea, Portsmouth’. Waring attained the rank of Major in the R.A.O.C. on 25 March 1949
