Corporation of Glasgow Bravery Medal, 3rd type, 9ct. gold (David Ferris), hallmarks for Edinburgh 1965, lacking brooch bar, extremely fine £140-180

David Ferris, of 20 Carlisle Street. Awarded on 12 November 1968. ‘... for bravery in rescuing a boy from drowning in the Forth and Clyde Canal on 22nd May, 1968’. Sold with a photocopied cutting from the Glasgow Herald, 13 November 1968, which lists a number of Glasgow Bravery Medal awards including that to Ferris.
