George Maslin was born in Swindon. A Labourer by occupation, he attested for service in the 76th Regiment at Swindon on 10 August 1854, aged 17 years 6 months. With them he served until 1865 when he transferred to the 28th Foot, serving with them until discharged with a pension in March 1876. During this time he served for over three years in Gibraltar and over three years in Malta. Sold with copied discharge papers
