Julian Basil Charlesworth was born in Hitchin, Hertfordshire in 1899. Living at Gunton Hall, Lowestoft, Suffolk, a Motor Mechanic by occupation, he enlisted into the Army on 22 March 1918, aged 18 years, 11 months, having served for 7 months in the R.N.A.S. as a Petty Officer Mechanic in armoured cars. He was posted to the Mesopotamian theatre of war, disembarking at Basra from the Vasna on 16 July 1918. Sold with copied service papers.

Medals to Frost and Daniel with copied m.i.c. All served in M.G.C. (Motors).
