Autograph Book, 144 x 101mm., containing sketches and poems, many signed and dated ‘Rouen’ of the period 1918/19, two bearing the stamp mark of the Adjutant Generals’ Office at the base, good condition £60-80

One poem entitled ‘War’ reads:

There’s a soul in the Eternal,
Standing stiff before the King.
There’s a little English maiden
Sorrowing.
There’s a proud and fearless woman,
seeing pictures in the fire.
There’s a broken battered body on the wire.

Signed by ‘Eldred T. Tipper, R.A.S.C., Jan. 17. 1919’.
