Korea 1950-53, 1st issue (SK.9997 S. A. Vatnsdal), renamed; U.N. Korea (SK9997 S. A. Vatnsdal) very fine (2) £60-80

Sharry Alan Vatnsdal served with the Canadian Forces from September 1951 until November 1958. Serving with the P.P.C.L.I., he received training as a Parachutist and Sniper. He arrived in Korea on 29 May 1953 and served with the Guard Defence Platoon, attached to the H.Q. 25 Canadian Infantry Brigade. He departed Korea for Japan and thence Canada in September 1953. With the 2nd Battalion P.P.C.L.I. he served in Germany, June 1954-April 1955. Later in 1955 he became a Signalman and served mainly at Kingston until his release. Sold with copied service papers.
