1939-45 Star; Africa Star; Italy Star; Defence and War Medals; Africa Service Medal, all but the fourth officially inscribed, ‘20315 E. C. Goldswain’, complete with original stamped envelopes of issue, including ‘British Defence Medal’, Union Defence Forces condolence slip in the name of ‘20315 E. C. Goldswain’, with family annotation ‘Ernest’s medals sent to Ruby after his death’, and a related War Graves communication, good very fine and better (6) £60-80

Ernest Goldswain, the son of Burton and Ruby Goldswain of Kimberley, Cape Province, died on active service in Italy on 9 October 1944 and is buried in the Castiglione South Africa Cemetery.
