Banning, a Warehouseman, aged 39 years, was born in Paddington and lived at 74 High Street, West Ham, Essex, with his wife and five children; and an extract from the 1901 British Census indicating he was a Manufacturing Chemist’s Assistant, living at 74 High Street, Stratford City Mills.
