Indian Mutiny 1857-59, 1 clasp, Delhi (Capt. G. C. H. Waters, 1st Bn. 60th Rifles) suspension slack, edge bruising and polished, therefore good fine £600-700

George Charles Henry Waters was appointed Ensign in the 60th Rifles, by purchase, on 21 January 1848, and advanced to the ranks of Lieutenant and Captain, again by purchase, in March 1853 and March 1857 respectively. He served from 18 July 1857 at the siege of Delhi, assault and capture of the City, and final attack on and occupation of the Palace. He was severely wounded before Delhi on 6 August, and again wounded at the assault on the 14th August, 1857.
