Crimea 1854-56, 2 clasps, Alma, Sebastopol (W. Ferguson, 20th Regt.) officially impressed naming, claw tightened/refixed but still loose, minor edge bruising, very fine £180-220

William Ferguson was born in Somerset. A Sail Cloth Weaver by occupation, he enlisted into the 20th regiment on 22 December 1852, aged 17 years, 10 months. Sold with medal roll extracts which confirm the above two clasps but which also states ‘At Balaklava”. Also with copied extract from nominal roll which states against his name ‘Suposed (sic) to have died at Scutari’.
