Copied research with the medal states that 1425 Private E. Tilling was serving with the 1st Battalion Duke of Cornwall’s Light Infantry in Burma during 1890 and is confirmed as being with the Wuntho Frontier Force Army Reserve in 1894. Not on the D.C.L.I. roll for the other two clasps; it is postulated that he was attached to the 4th Battalion King’s Royal Rifle Corps as part of Major Kitchener’s escort to the ‘Treasure Chest’ in the Tamu Column in the Manipor expedition, 1891.

Sold with an extract from the O.M.R.S. Journal, September 1972 and copied letters from Major Morgan and others regarding the medal.
