Medals Related to Sports, France, Sport Velocipedique, c.1885, a silver award medal by F.-C.-V. de Vernon, cyclists with a Penny-Farthing, a tricycle and an ordinary, reverse wreath, named (Lury s/ Arnon, 4 Août 1889, 1er Prix), 28mm (PBE –; cf. BDW 5, 8; Baudey/Bricher 1992, 15, this piece). Very fine, toned; with ring and loop suspension fashioned as a branch (£25-35)
