France, Joseph Napoleon, c.1805, a gilt repoussé portrait medal by P.G. Liénard, bust left, reverse MÉDAILLIER GÉNÉRAL, etc, legend in 8 lines within wreath, 48mm (BDM III, 435). Excellent quality, about extremely fine; set in a gilt mount, the obverse glazed, and with small loop for suspension, rare (£100-150)
