James I (1406-1437), First Fleur-de-lis issue, Groat, Edinburgh, mm. cross pattée, tressure of seven arcs, tiny saltires on breast, i both sides of neck (?), reads tracia (?), rev. three pellets in first and fourth quarters, lis in second, lis between saltires in third quarter, reads ecinbvrgh, lis stops with saltire interpunctuation both sides, large g on rev., 2.20g/6h (SCBI 35, –; SCBI 72, 386; B 7a, fig. 432A; S 5195). Good fine or better, the variety very rare £150-£200
