Late 17th century, a brass pipe tamper, 7.8cms high, standing figure of St George moulded in the round, holding a spear into the mouth of a dragon under his feet; circular section tamper below. Very fine and complete but stem of tamper is bent £60-£80

Found by a detectorist in the Home counties.
