Helena Mary Young joined Princess Christian’s Army Nursing Service on 2 July 1900, and served in South Africa at N. 9 General Hospital, Bloemfontein. She saw further serve at home during the Great War as a a Lady Superintendent, British Red Cross, in Norfolk from October 1915.
