Victoria, Diamond Jubilee, 1897, a silver medal by F. Bowcher for Spink, crowned bust left, rev. royal arms with supporters, names of British territories on small shields around, 76mm, 161.77g (W & E 3475A.4; BHM 3511; E 1816). Extremely fine and toned, rare in silver; in fitted case by Spink [lid inscribed The Silver Challenge Medal, Frickley-cum-Clayton and Hooton Pagnell, Presented for Annual Competition by Mr & Mrs Warde-Aldam, June 22nd 1897] £600-£800

William Wright Warde-Aldam (1853-1925); this medal was presented by Warde-Aldam to Coningsby Disraeli (1867-1936), nephew of Benjamin Disraeli
