Ralph Edens attested for the Canadian Overseas Expeditionary Force and served with the 19th Battalion Canadian Infantry, during the Great War on the Western Front. He died of disease on 7 July 1918, aged 25 years, and is buried in Watford Cemetery, Hertfordshire.
