British Iron Age, CANTII, Dubnovellaunos (25 BC - AD 5), silver Unit, Pegasus type, laureate head left, hair bound in tight corkscrews, dubno before face, rev. Pegasus bounding right through star-filled sky, cross-hatched net below, 1.00g/11h (ABC 315; VA 165-1; S 209). A few light marks, otherwise good very fine and well centred, with the king’s name fully legible; the type extremely rare £800-£1,000
