Early Anglo-Saxon Period, Sceatta, Continental series E, variety C, porcupine-like figure enclosing four bars and a cross, rev. debased standard comprising three crescents, cross, large v and trefoil of pellets around a central annulet, 0.95g (SCBI Abramson 623-4 var. [two crescents]; cf. SCBI BM 395ff; Abramson 96.20; N 45; S 790D). About very fine, slightly rough find patina, the reverse ornamentation unusual £80-£100
