The self taught Danish modernist silversmith Palle Bisgaard opened his workshop in Kirke Hyllinge, near Roskilde, in 1954, the same year as fellow silversmith Arne Johansen. Examples of Bisgaard’s work have been exhibited at the Danish Silver Museum at Koldinghus, the Danish Society of Arts and Crafts and Industrial Design, and included in the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s touring exhibition of ‘The Arts of Denmark: Viking to Modern’.
