Alexander Lindsay, a native of Goulburn, New South Wales, attested for the Australian Imperial Force and served with the 14th Australian Field Ambulance during the Great War. He died of wounds on the Western Front on 25 September 1917, and is buried in Birr Cross Roads Cemetery, Belgium.
