The Rev. Charles Herbert Mosse was born in March 1887 and was educated at St. Paul’s School, London, and Jesus College, Cambridge. He was Ordained Deacon in 1912, and Priest in 1913, and was commissioned Chaplain to the Forces Fourth Class on 28 December 1915. He served with the Army Chaplains’ Department during the Great War, and subsequently served as Vicar of Aldwick, Sussex, and Rural Dean of Selsey and Bognor Regis. He died in Hove, Sussex, in May 1970.
