William Noel Hague was born in 1928 in Sheffield and enlisted into the Royal Army Medical Corps as a National Serviceman in January 1947. After completing Primary Training he served with 47 Depot Far East Land Force (Malaya) from December 1947 to February 1949. He was discharged to the Z Reserve in May 1949 and immediately attested for the Regular Army. He served as Acting Lance Corporal with the R.A.M.C. stationed at 29 British General Hospital Korea from May 1951 and at 33 General Hospital Hong Kong from December 1952. He then re-attested, remaining with the R.A.M.C. and seeing a further 22 years service across a range of locations including Austria, Germany, East Africa and British Guiana. He was promoted Staff Sergeant in March 1965, Warrant Officer II in January 1969 and Acting Warrant Officer I in August 1969. He was discharged to Pension in January 1975 after 27 years’ service, and died in 1994 in Devizes, Wiltshire.
