Indian Mutiny 1857-59, 1 clasp, Lucknow (Richd. Morris, 84th. Regt.) suspension claw re-affixed, edge bruising and worn in parts, therefore fine £200-£240

Richard Morris was born in Manchester and attested for the 9th Regiment of Foot at Clonmel, co. Tipperary, on 18 January 1856, aged 19. He transferred to the 84th Regiment of Foot on 1 March 1857, and served with them in India during the Great Sepoy Mutiny. He was promoted Corporal on 28 February 1870, and was discharged on 13 March 1877, after 21 years and 30 days; service, having served abroad in India, Malta, Jamaica, and Nova Scotia.
