Percy Thomas Miles was born in Eddlesborough, Buckinghamshire, and attested for the Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire Light Infantry at Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire. He served with them during the Great War on the Western Front, before transferring to the 10th Battalion, Lincolnshire Regiment (service number 43510), and died of wounds on 9 April 1917, aged 24. He has no known grave and is commemorated on the Arras Memorial, France.

Stanley Miles was born in Eddlesborough, Buckinghamshire, and attested for the Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire Light Infantry at Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire. He served with the 5th Battalion during the Great War on the Western Front, and was killed in action on 23 March 1918, aged 21. He has no known grave and is commemorated on the Poziers Memorial, France.
