Royal Irish Constabulary Officer’s Sword 1911-22, the 83 cm bright blade by ‘J.R.Gaunt & Son Limited, late Edward Thurkle, London & Birmingham’, the single fuller blade etched with the Imperial crown over an oval ‘Royal Irish Constabulary’ enclosing the Harp a crowned ‘GVR’ cypher and panels of scrolling foliage, wire bound fish skin grip, triple bar steel hilt incorporating the Imperial crown over the Harp black leather sword knot and olivette together with its black painted metal scabbard, some paint loss to the scabbard and both throat screws missing otherwise good condition £600-800
