B.E.M. London Gazette 15 June 1945: ‘Miss Edith Grace Buckerfield, Member, Women’s Land Army, Irnham Estate, Nr. Grantham.’
Edith Grace Buckerfield was enrolled into the Women’s Land Army (No. 21032) on 22 September 1939. She was aged 33, formerly a secretary in London, and was demobilised on 30 April 1946. Sold with research including two Press photographs, one supposedly of an investiture by H.M. Queen Elizabeth to W.L.A. members with the Princesses Elizabeth and Margaret also in attendance, the other of W.L.A. members marching past St Paul’s Cathedral.
