William Arthur Shepherd was born in St. Peter Port, Guernsey, on 14 May 1903 and attested for the 2nd (Reserve) Battalion, Royal Guernsey Light Infantry as a Boy Bugler in October 1917, aged 14. He died in Guernsey on 6 March 1974.
