Defence and War Medals 1939-45, unnamed, with named condolence slip in card box of issue addressed to his father; together with related pair of silver regimental medals awarded to Bandmaster J. Ward-Davies, 30mm. with integral rings for suspension, each ornately engraved ‘1st Pembrokeshire Rifle Volunteers “A” Company 1887 - Bandmaster Ward Davies for regular attendance at drill and good shooting’, and ‘1st Vol. Batt. Welsh Regiment “A” Company 1888 - Bandmaster J. Ward-Davies for regular attendance at drill and good shooting’, good very fine (4) £60-80

Chrichton Ward Davies, Lieutenant, 183 Field Battery, Royal Artillery, died of unknown causes on 17 April 1942. The son of Alexander Chrichton Ward-Davies, of Southampton, he was aged 24 and is buried in Parkhurst Military Cemetery, Isle of Wight.
