The King’s Liverpool Regiment Officer’s Blue Cloth Helmet c. 1902-11, the skull complete with all gilt metal fittings, the frontal plate of crowned star pattern with laurel and Garter overlays, in the centre on a ground of crimson velvet the White Horse of Hanover with scroll above ‘Nec Aspera Terrent’ in silver, buff leather sweat band with silk attached lining, retailed by Hawkes & Co., London, the plate not original to the helmet, the frontal plate in excellent condition, the spike a replacement probably from a tropical helmet, the chin chain shortened but with extra single links otherwise good sound condition £400-500
