A Sri Lankan sapphire and diamond ring, the cushion-cut sapphire claw set between diamond shoulders, each inset with pairs of old-cut diamonds, to gold setting, (shank unmarked), accompanied by a Report from the Gemmological Certification Services confirming the sapphire is of Sri Lankan (Ceylon) origin, with no indications of heating, sapphire weight approximately 3.2 carats, dimensions approximately 8.3mm x 7.2mm x 5.8mm, ring size H1/2, together with a copy of the original purchase receipt (including the sapphire and diamond pendant in the preceding lot), from Abdul Caffoor & Co, Bristol Hotel, Colombo, Ceylon, dated 5 February 1947. £800-1000

The Report from the GCS is numbered 5776-5898 and dated 21.06.16.

The original purchase receipt, listing both the sapphire and diamond pendant (offered for sale in the preceding lot) and the sapphire and diamond ring in this lot, will be included with the sale of the pendant. A
copy of the original receipt will be included with this lot.
