Thomas Holt Gentleman was born in 1929. He appears in Who’s Who of Southern Africa as Assistant Secretary (Finance) in the Ministry of Agriculture; also mentioned in the book, The Rhodesian Light Infantry Africa’s Commandos, by M. Adams, as a Major with the Rhodesia Air Force Dispatch Unit which parachute dropped supplies to the ground troops. In the 1990’s he was Director of CSC Meat Importers (UK).

Awarded the D.M.M. on 12 July 1971 - one of 197 awarded. Awarded the Territorial Service Medal and Bar on 26 July 1974 - one of 158 bars awarded.
