Paul Allan Herdman was born on 15 February 1975 and enlisted at Carlisle on 18 June 1992. He served in the Royal Corps of Transport, June 1992-April 1993 and Royal Logistic Corps, April 1993-March 2002. Actively served in Northern Ireland and Bosnia. Served in the Explosive Ordnance Disposal Regiment, R.L.C. Having given due notice, he was transferred to the Reserve on 26 March 2002.

A very well documented group: sold with a quantity of original papers, including: certificate of qualifications; certificate of job descriptions; certificate of service; Army Certificate of Qualification having completed the Explosive Ordnance Disposal Course, 1999; certificate of thanks for 9 years service; certificate of transfer to the reserve; various papers relating to the R.L.C. Association and welfare support and a number of photographs - including one showing bruises to his back, the photo inscribed, ‘Got a beating off the Irish locals during ‘Orange March’, Belfast , Excellent Rioting’. Papers and photographs contained in a folder. Also with the named card box of issue for the Jubilee Medal 2002.
