Belgian documents to Sergeant Florent François Norbert Beausaert, 10th Line Regiment

Award documents: Order of Leopold I, Chevalier, with swords (1950); Order of the Crown, Chevalier, with swords (1942); Order of Leopold II, Officer, with swords (1961); another, Chevalier (1938); Yser Medal; War Commemorative Medal 1914-18; Victory Medal 1918; Military Decoration, 2nd Class; Reign of Albert I Commemorative (1962); together with two coloured scrolls commemorating war service 1914-18 - from the Commune of Etterbeek, 600 x 410mm.; and another for Service to the Fatherland 1914-18, 475 x 320mm., these last two laminated, some damage, fairly good condition (lot) £40-60

Florent François Norbert Beausert was born in Etterbeek, Brabant on 10 March 1889.

The presentation scroll commemorating service to the Fatherland lists Beausaert’s Great War awards as Croix de Guerre, Military Decoration, 2nd Class; Yser Medal; War Commemorative Medal and Victory Medal.

Other papers include: Certificate of Good Conduct; Notice of Appreciation; Carte du Feu; papers re. pension. Together with a fine coloured portrait photograph of the recipient in uniform.
