Frederick Plant was born in Crowfield, Ipswich and enlisted into the 11th Hussars at Shorncliff. He went to France with ‘C’ Squadron on 15 August 1914. He was killed in action at Messines, 30 October 1914. Having no known grave, his name is commemorated on the Ypres (Menin Gate) Memorial. He was the son of Solomon and Ann Plant, of 84 Sistoven Road, Balham. London. With copied m.i.c. and other research. Entitled to the 1914 Star with clasp and British War Medal.
Medal to Private Samuel Edwards, 11th Hussars joined ‘C’ Squadron in France on 21 March 1916. With copied m.i.c. Entitled to the British War Medal.
Private Horace Sells was part of the 11th Hussars Regimental Football Team in 1911 and received his marksman badge in 1912. Was transferred to the Army Reserve in 1912. Recalled to the Colours in August 1914, he joined the regiment in France on 17 October 1915. Transferred to Class ‘Z’ Reserve on 17 April 1919. With copied m.i.c. and other research including copied photograph of the recipient in the football team. Entitled to the 1914-15 Star and British War Medal.
