Morgan Davies, from Colbren, near Neath, entered the France/Flanders theatre of war as a Lance-Corporal in the 2nd Battalion Welsh Regiment on 13 July 1915. As a Private with the same battalion he earned the Military Medal. Discharged to Class ‘Z’ Reserve on 4 February 1919. Entitled to a 1914-15 Star trio of medals.
