Private James Gustave Moeller, 1st Battalion Manchester Regiment, entered the France/Flanders theatre of war on 27 August 1914. Served in the Jullunder (Indian) Brigade, of the Lohore Division. Fought gallantly west of Fromelles, 22 October 1914, against the German Sixth Army. Moeller was discharged due to wounds on 13 September 1917 and awarded the Silver War Badge (not in lot). With copied roll extract and m.i.c. - clasp confirmed.
