Private Edward Day, 1st Battalion Gloucestershire Regiment, entered the France/Flanders theatre of war on 19 September 1914. With the 3rd Infantry Brigade, 1st Division, in Haig’s I Army Corps. Served in the battle for Gheluvelt, 29 October 1914. Day was later transferred to the 2nd Garrison Battalion Northumberland Fusiliers. With copied m.i.c. - clasp not confirmed.
