Corporal Frank G. Bangay, 11th Hussars, entered France/Flanders and was authorised the award of the clasp to his star. He was one of 35 men of ‘A’ Squadron who were cut off during the retreat from Mons and was captured at Busigny, 26 August 1914 and held as a prisoner-of-war at Sennelager.
