Woodrow W. Breedon was born in Harrisonburg, Virginia on 5 March 1922. Employed as a General Farmhand he entered active service at Roanoke, Virginia on 6 November 1944. Served 9 months with the 82nd Airborne Infantry in Central Europe.
With original Army Service Forces Transportation Corps ‘New York Port of Embarkation’ card, named to ‘Woodrow W. Breedon, Pfc. 33665405’, who returned to the United States on the Queen Mary, sailing from Southampton on 29 December 1945; Honorable
Discharge Certificate, named to Woodrow W. Breedon, 33665405, Private First Class, Company G. 325th Glider Infantry Regiment, APO 469’, dated 31 July 1946; with certified copy; Separation Qualification Record; Certificate authorising the retention of captured enemy equipment - a German Rifle and a Russian pistol.
With Glider Badge and Rifle Marksman’s Badge; with riband bar and 82nd Division cloth badge for display purposes.
