With original Bronze Star certificate - ‘Bronze Star Medal (Third oak leaf cluster) to Chief Warrant Officer Samuel E. Waller, 430-48-3359, United States Army, for meritorious achievement in ground operations against hostile forces in the Republic of Vietnam during the period April 1969 to April 1970’ - awarded whilst serving with the 2nd Battalion (Airborne) 503rd Infantry Regiment; this certificate with citation contained in plastic folder.
With original Joint Service Commendation Medal certificate, ‘for meritorious achievement in the performance of his duties during the period, 15 February 1972 to 31 March 1972.’; this certificate with citation contained in a plastic ‘Headquarters 173d Airborne Brigade (Sep) Vietnam’ folder.
With original named Vietnam Combat Certificate and copied service papers.
With wooden shield plaque, decorated with helicopters and bearing the badge of the 1st Cavalry Division and metal plates inscribed, ‘Headquarters 2nd Battalion ABN 19th Artillery 1st Cavalry Division’ ‘CW3 Samuel E. Waller 19 May 1966-18 May 1967 presented by the officers and NCO’s for faithful and meritorious service.’
