King’s South Africa 1901-02, 2 clasps (966 Farr. Mahmud Zaman Khan, 5th Bengal Cvlry.) very fine, scarce £70-90
Medal and both clasps confirmed as entitled per the respective campaign medal roll (ref WO 100/369) compiled and signed on 22 February 1903. He was also additionally awarded the Queen’s medal with clasp 'Transvaal' (ref WO 100/296). The medal rolls show that only four K.S.A. medals with both clasps were awarded to members of the 5th Bengal Cavalry, Indian Army, comprising one British Officer and three Indian other-ranks, including Farrier Mahmud Zaman.
