ROYAL HUMANE SOCIETY, bronze medal, small type (3), (A.S. Stephens, 6th May 1897; Alfred Williams, 7th March 1913; Chas. Henry Geo. Rule, 21st Dec. 1914) the firstpolished, otherwise nearly very fine (3)

Alfred Williams was awarded the bronze medal for helping to save two young boys from drowning in the river Severn at Worcester. He had previously been awarded the Society's document on vellum for saving a boy from the same river in 1898 (sold with further details)
