Crimea 1854-56, 1 clasp, Sebastopol (Captain R. E. F. Craufurd, Royal Artillery) engraved naming; Turkish Order of the Medjidie, 5th Class breast badge, silver, gold and enamel, reverse inscribed, ‘Captn. & Bt. Major R. E. F. Craufurd Royal Artillery’, some enamel damage to ‘crescent’; Turkish Crimea 1855, British issue (Captain R. E. F. Craufurd, Royal Artillery) each with silver buckle on ribbon, in Hunt & Roskell fitted leather case, the lid inscribed, ‘Major R. E. F. Craufurd’, first medal pitted, good fine and better (3) £600-700

Robert Emilius Fazakaley Craufurd, Gentleman Cadet in the Royal Artillery, 9 August 1841; commissioned a 2nd Lieutenant in June 1844; promoted to Lieutenant in April 1846; Captain in March 1853 and Major in June 1856. In the Crimea, he served with the 5th Company 4th Battalion R.A.; served at Sebastopol and Kertch. Awarded the Order of Medjidie 5th Class. Retired on Half Pay on 1 November 1865, promoted to Lieutenant-Colonel in January 1868 and died in London on 29 July 1881. With copied roll extracts and some other research.
